Handmade Pink, Gold and Silver Nuno* Felt Scrunchy Cowl
Although very lightweight, this cowl is surprisingly warm. It is made from sheer printed chiffon fabric with Superfine Merino wool, highly prized as one of the most comfortable wool fibers to wear. It is topped with white Tencel and naturally colored gold Muga silk fibers.
This cowl or neck warmer can also be used as a headband, with or without a felted flower accent, (sold separately).
NOTE: The cowl is best not used in place of a Corona virus face mask.
Care:
The cowl can be hand-washed in cool water with a mild soap, rinsed and laid flat to dry. Shape or block the cowl to measure 10” x 11” in diameter. It can also be left in a ‘scrunched’ condition, making it ready to go when dry.
*FYI Notes:
Nuno felting is the process of combining wool fiber with silk fabric to produce a strong but light weight item. It is also used when a fun texture is desired. The fact that wool shrinks and silk does not makes for an interesting rippled effect. Keep in mind though, that felt is not stretchy.
